Surefire 628F (Lamp Module Question)

Hey Everyone,

I have recently purchased a Surefire 628F, and additionally an A-17 offset adaptor with L36 lamp module which I am using with my MP5.

Is there anyway that I can turn the 628F weapon light module into a torch unit as its redundant now with the A17 adaptor / L36 lamp? I have a 6P light and I noticed that the tail cap fits perfectly but I would need something to extend the length of the light housing to fit the 2 x 3V batteries (I presume a 6V system).

If you can help, I would appreciate some part numbers etc if this is possible.

To create a model "650-00" you need:
L60 Lamp Module
A21 Universal Housing Body
Z41-BK TailCap

TailCaps do not function when directly attached to the ends of Lamp Modules (such as the L60) because the threads are the wrong length.
