Hi, im looking for a nice LED compact torch that i can engrave, i first looked at a Jetbeam E3P in stainless would be ideal, but then i came accross this NDI, 1stly id like to know if the flat part on the main body has anything on it ? in all the pictures ive seen it is blank and thus ideal for a message/engraving. the second is i wondered how the coating would react to being engraved on ?

thanks for any input guys.
lovecpf

Yes, that area is blank on both sides.
Since it's nickel-plated, I suspect engraving it will reveal the alu beneath, which might be aesthetically pleasing with a shine and matt contrast. But I'm not sure if the edges will chip off bit by bit over time.

thanks for the reply, sounds good, i have experience with nickel plating on high end mountain bike components, i know they can chip once broken, i would hope that the engraving machine / equipment would be smooth and accurate enough to leave it nice... sounds like ill have to give it a go !
cheers
