Looks crazy, in a good way! Perhaps the front bezel bell could be replaced with a straight walled piece from fins to the bezel ring?

You should sell these as both drop-in's and as full units.
You see I don't have a 4C set up to run 3 18650's. You could make the delrin sleeves and do the resistance fixes for us, etc, and sell full lights ready to go that are optimized for this HID creation.

I see the reflector has a small cut in it for the bulb wire, is that just for the prototype and what will the bulb opening diameter need to be?

Very interesting. Anodize it to match the light (black;) ) and maybe taper the front of the drop-in module to more closely align with the front head.

Thanks all,

Mainly for sale the drop-in, because it is too easy to build your own Mag, like
1D with 3x 17650
3D with 9x AA / 3x D size li-ion.
4D with 4x LiFePO4 D size.
.......... any 12V setting.

Final product will be anodized black. :)
The outlook will be >95% like that, because it will be easier to put the Rubber Lens Cover for protection.

The bulb wire will be there. 8mm hole with slot will be OK.
Otherwise, it need ~20mm big hole.

Should be ~$180 shipped

 Making the slot without trashing the reflector.......................

Have to think about that one. Small round file perhaps.

+1 for me!

Could this support a LuxLuthor 15.6v NiMH pack? Would a freshly charged rest voltage over 16v be bad news?

I like the concept, but the styling is a little rough for me. If you could incorporate a ballast inside a head that would follow the lines of the stock head, or even bell out into a 3" head, that would look better for me. Sorta like the FM throwmaster, but in larger form.

I like your ideas download!

Exactly what i was thinking, i also have 15.6v lux's pack.

Could you change the design to be less rough, to be more streamline i guess especially in the head area.

Just wondering if we need two Mag Heads for this plug in to work?
