I just got an E2E-HA and compared to my E2-SG it produces a slightly wider hot-spot.
I don't think it's producing more-light, it just seems less focussed.

I swapped the batteries back and forth and it made no difference and I even swapped the lamps back and forth with no difference.

Is the reflector different in the E2E?
I knew about the Pyrex lens and the pocket-clip but I've seen no references to a different reflector.
Could the Pyrex alone be responsible for the difference?

Also, does anyone know what the part number is for the E2E lock-out tailcap?

And speaking of parts.... can anyone tell me about the SureFire Z29 spacer?
Am I right in thinking that its a little spacer that allows replacing the B65 rechargeable battery with three 123 lithiums?
Or is it two 123 lithiums -- I've heard both answers.

I got 2 new E2e-HA, also producing different focusing size. 1 with brighter wider hot spot and 1 with dimmer smaller hot spot. Swaping the lamps and batteries (all new) makes no difference. So sometimes lamp itself can be a problem as well.

Try swapping the lamp assemblies. Also, there is a small amount of reflector covered by the lip that holds the lexan lens in place on the outer edge of the E2's bezel. This is not the case with the E2e pyrex (hex) bezel, so this could be adding the the wider hot spot.
