Two nights ago the ISS & Space Shuttle crossed the sky and the dimmer, first, object had a comet-like tail coming from the near side circling around behind it to the opposite side. The misty comet-like tail followed its source and wrapped more than half way around it.
The second object was brighter, similar to Jupiter, but without a tail. I don't know which one was the ISS or Shuttle.
Ionizing activity or ice crystals from a huge space flush? This was visible by most people in my neck of the woods.
