Hi folks, up for grabs is this gorgeous flashlight
housing the new sst-50 led.
M20-4-SM.jpg

This light is in mint condition, but please take note that all the drives components have been removed and I have rewired it for direct drive.
measures 3.4 amps at the tail!
folks, the LE is functional and strong, just not to the standard of our better known modders, so for those happy to dabble in electronics this may be reverted to a regulated LE with attitude!
this light is really really bright folks, it aint no slacker now
wink.gif

usual rules apply

$250 gets it to ur door with its carrying case filled with goodys.

thanks for looking folks

Do it come with "all the drives components have been removed" on the side?

Hi Glockboy, unfortunately the components were minute and were destroyed by the heat of the soldering gun, all that is left is the board., with 2 wires soldered into place as in DD.

At 3.4 amps shouldn't this require an IMR 18650 to be safe? Or can a standard 18650 handle that constant current draw?

my understanding a regular 18650 2.2amp is ok at 2C but i may be wrong, so i use an IMR to be safe. i understand that AW has regular 18650's that would be fine with that current draw.

Hey - can you show a pic of the light turned on full power? Maybe alongside a reference with another known light of decent power?

Also - with the direct drive in place are the options of Lo, Med, Hi gone?
How quickly does it heat up?

Thanks.

So you are saying it heats up slower than un-modded Ti on 2 RCR123 batteries in hi regulated mode?

.....pics?
