Novatac takes Minimag rubber lens holder

I searched on "novatac minimag", "novatac maglite", "novatac minimag rubber boot thingy" etc, I've read through the many reviews on Novatac and didn't see this referenced yet, so I wanted to share...



I noticed that the bezel diameter on my new Novatac 85T was the same as my trusty Minimag. I pulled out my old rubber lens cover/bezel and a spare lens out of my Maglite graveyard of parts, ran the lens over some 600grit sandpaper and made a diffuser. This of course opens up using the different colored lenses, or just using it as a bezel protector.

Also, putting it over the tailcap allows the tactical model to tailstand.

Thanks for posting. I did the same thing last year. I actually had a couple of these so I trimmed the hole back so it could hold my Fenix diffuser i.e it acts as a coupler between the diffuser and bezel.

Are you speaking of the rubber cap in this kit?

That's the one.

It also fits some surefire like L1.

The Mini mag lens holder is almost identical to the surefire F04 diffuser. It fits lights with a 1 inch diameter bezel like mini mags, surefire E\L series and novatacs. Good little accessory
