My Surefire 6P's laser engraving always seems to get darker & darker with use - I use this light whilst jogging and the sweat/dirt seems to reduce the once sharp silver logo etc to a very dark version of its former self.

How do you regain the new look of this engraving? Is is even possible?

I've done several searches and can't seem to find any info?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

James....:)

Edit: Method found: I tried a soft type pencil eraser and found this helps this situation a little. I then tried a course style eraser that does tear up paper a bit with use. However, after trying this type of eraser on my 6P, the engraving has improved markedly - it's as good as new!!!!

The surrounding anodizing is unaffected by the procedure. You guys have probably been using this method for years but it's news to me & it does work!!!!

I use 2-propanol but isopropyl alcohol is much easier to acquire. Dab a good amount on a soft cloth then rub away everything. I like to use it with on old tooth brush to clean up the threads.
