There has never been proven to be a causal relationship between human produced CO2 levels rising and changes in global temperatures. There are too many variables to determine this relationship to be fact, and to spend precious resources to solve a problem when you don't know the true problem or the solution is only going to hurt the planet and the people and animals living on it. We are living on a rock spinning around the sun at a constantly changing distance that is spinning on it's own axis that can change at any time. The sun's temperature isn't constant and has random flare ups. On earth, people, animals, and even some of the mountains (volcanoes) spew CO2. We are sitting on giant continent sized plates with hot magma under them. This magma at any time can warm the oceans from below or send CO2, sulfer, and ash into the air. Why do people think that with all these variables and the only constant being change, that it is our fault when the global temperature changes one way or the other?
I have nothing against cleaning pollution out of the air. However, CO2 is not pollution. If you think that it is and that CO2 levels need to be reduced, then you can start by planting a tree or holding your breath. Any place that has employees will pollute by your standards if you think CO2 is pollution, whether they use machines or physical labor. The only way to pollute less by that standard is to shut down factories completely and be nonproductive, and losing jobs and production in our society will lead to only one outcome: the destruction of our economy and our way of life.
