1) This is a new 3C Maglite with a 3*p7 and 'dropped' into the head.

NOW $145 OR $115 for the 3*P7 drop-in only - first 'I'll take it' followed by prompt paypal gets it.

This one is a bit different to my other P7 Mag builds...







The host is a blue 3D Mag with a D-Bin Neutral white 'J'vf P7 on a DHS heatsink and runs off 3*D-Cells.

However rather than a modified mag reflector or similar I decided to use a modified McR18 reflector so that I could put a lot of v10 glo-powder in 2ton epoxy around it to give a decent glow effect that puts out a little light by itself. The result is a light that has a less defined hotspot than using a stock mag reflector so the beam is more 'floody'. However I was very pleased with how the beam turned out, still with a hotspot but the spot is a quite big!

3XP7 what is driving them and how hard? Expected runtime on C batts?
What is the angle on those reflectors?

Now the million doller question are you around London? I leave next week Africa awaits so if it's possible to test and collect locally...

Brov. thanks for the info, nice I love Waynes work I should think your scrapping together for the mighty Kong. I would be all over you like a rash I do however have a problem, I 'f@@@@@@ hate RM as simple as that. I also am a complete toss@r in the fact I don't have a paypal or anything :shakehead I am just a simple bloke off the block & only deal in fresh folding cash.

So maybe another time Hammer if were in the same location we could have a session with our flashies, or if interested get a few of us together and get the tools out.

The tripple P7 is said to be made for 3 NiMH cells or up to 4.8V imput.

With such little voltage imput what is the current?

What is the current at the tail in that Tripple P7 with 3 NiMH cells?

or

Are you using 3 li-on cell?

Jose, Good question.

These were actually designed for use with 3 NiMH cells. However it possible to run them off 4 NiMH cells and if the buyer prefers I will install it in a NEW 4C Mag so that they can run it off 4 NiMH cells for max lumens and less runtime.

If i read the build thread right, with 3 NiMH C cells this tripple P7 pulls close to 5A at the tail which would make this a 45 minute runtime with 3 NimH or less.

What does does your tripple P7 pull at the tail with those 3 P7's and 3 NiMH C cells?

I have no way of measuring this I'm afraid! It's plenty bright though. I'm happy to install it in a new 4C mag if the buyer prefers!
