I working on a project that's going to use three drop-in modules (max 1amp from each I guess) and a power source with a voltage of 6V. Since I'm quite new to making my own flashlights, I'm a bit unsure how thick the wires I'm going to use should be. I'm considering using a 3.5 mm jack extension cable, but these seem to be quite thin. How thick should cables for such project be? Is it any disadvantages in choosing a thin cable?

wire selection depends on what drive current your going to be working with. Generally under or equivalent to 2 amps 22-24 gauge is preferred.
I use 24 gauge on all hookups for fixed location LEDs, no far there has not been any issues:candle:
