what substance should i use to protect the silicon o rings

Hi

I have a diving flashlight with silicon o rings.</SPAN>
I know I should use some substance when I screw</SPAN> the tail cap to protect the o ring.</SPAN>

What should I use?

Not sillicon grease unless you are sure of the formulation. Some members reports swelling when sillicon rease is applied to sillicon orings.

Try Krytox.

After having a talk of the proper care and feeding of marital aids at the nearby store, I would have to say that you don't want to put silicon lubricants on silicon stuff.

Well, alot of marital aids are made of silicon, and alot of personal lubricants are also silicon, and it just dissolves things. Even the manufacturers of said devises recommend not to use silicon lube with silicon.
