Hello!

First of all, I'm from Sweden, so it might be some misspellings sometimes..

My name is Daniel and I'm new at this forum. I've spent several hours now to figgure out which one of these torches I should buy.

The torches I'm talking about is ofcourse:

Fenix TK11 80$
EagleTac T20C2 90$
JETBeam JET-III M 90$

So now I wonder what you think. I know there are som different opinions about them so just let me know!
I'll use the flashlight mostly for Urban Exploring if that helps.

But pros and cons with the torches would be great so I could compare them even more.

I'm ordering from Ebay and the price is almost the same for the torches as you can see so the difference doesn't matter that much..

Best regards, and thank you guys for an awesome forum!!! lovecpf

I would say the Jetbeam Jet-III as it has the I.B.S.

My second choice would be the Fenix TK11.

I have beamshots, with both of those included if you wish to compare them a little more.

If you're looking for output/runtime efficiency, get Fenix or Eagletac.
IMO, the Jet-III M pretty much wins in most other areas that would be noticeable by most people.
How are you planning to use them?

I don't really like the build quality of jetbeam...
ohh...? I actually think Jetbeam has the best built quality out of the 3 brands mentioned here.

Loved ALL my Jetbeam's built quality so far. Mind telling us in what way do you not like about it and why?

Thank you everyone for your answer!

I have to say that the JET-III M is the one I would pick last.
I simply think it is the ugliest of the three torches.

DimeRazorback what is the IBS yor mentioned?

It seems like I would get the best deal with the TK11.

I could get a Fenix TK11 Premium R2 LED + Charger and 2x3000mAh 18650 batteries. Charger and batteries from UltraFire. And it is a direct delivery from Hong Kong. All this for 120$ Postage included.

Is that a good deal you think?

The other torches is:
EagleTac T20C2+2 CR123A Energizer Lithium Batteries for 112$ with postage included.
And the JET-III M is 116$ for only the torch and postage...

Should I go with the TK11 then? Or what do you say?

I had an RRT-1 for testing, and the selector ring just didn't feel very high quality to me. No idea about their other models.

I.B.S is the Infinite Brightness System.
With the Jet-III it works like this.
Head tightened is high mode.
Head loosened is user defined. From 1 lumen - Max lumen, or strobe/sos/blink.

Therefore, you could have it set up in many ways, like:

Tightened: High
Loosened: super low

OR

Tightened: High
Loosened: Strobe

OR

Tightened: High
Loosened: 80 lumens

Hope that helps :)

I don't find it ugly, but you will be using it in the dark :p

You can't go wrong with the TK11 imo!
I love mine!

The selector ring isn't the sturdiest, however it is harsh to base total assessments just on that alone!

I am more than happy with the quality of my Jetbeams!!

tk11 doesn't have a replaceable bezel like the other two, so if you drop it and ding it up you can't make it look pretty again:shakehead

I don't know how important price is to you but, you can get a TK11 R2 on Ebay for buy-it-now price of 64.99 shipping free. I haven't looked at the Jetbeams or the Eagletacs but the price you listed of 80.00 for a TK11 is way too high.

I don't have a Jetbeam so I cannot say but, most people here who have them speak well of them.

I have a TK11, I use it on duty as a Deputy Sheriff and I could not be happier. Several of my partners tried it and bought their own.

I owned all three of those at one point. My favorite would be the Jet III M. It is simply one of my favorite lights. In fact I have one Jet III M and two Jet III Ti-M.

Err, Dime, have you ever tried the T20C2?
Why did you pick the TK11 over the T20C2?

I haven't no, hence why I have no opinions on it in my posts :nana:

But, I can't say I plan on trying one either, but I'm not going to open a can of worms!
