I have the 5 mode C3 stainless Q5. I unscrewed the pill and removed the solder around the driver and it won't come out.

Anyone had any success taking these out?

hmmm I had some trouble getting the driver of the Ultrafire A20B...it was press fitted...

there are two methods..solder 5mm led wires on the board and pull (have not tried it myself)

Make a tiny prybar and work slowly...I tok a very small screwdriver, 1+mm thick 3cm long, made an slanted 60 deg cut, smoothed it a bit with sanding...menacing...

I imagine there's some solder that seeped in on the sides of the board.

I think the driver is cracked in the PCB somewhere from intermittent problems. I reflowed all the solder on it, and it stopped working, so it's a junk emitter now.

That soldering wires to pull up on it sounds like a great idea, i'll do that.

Eh. Since it's PCB, I ended up just pulling the foil off it when I soldered a pull wire to it.

Managed to pry under it on the side. It uses a dual layer circuit board with pins connecting the two. 17 mm diameter.

Just need to find a replacement now :D
