Found at a flea market. 1 only L and N Anchor brand flashlight made in Hong Kong some time ago. Genuine "antique" appearance full of scratches, wear and dings. How could I resist.
I decided to leave the body as it was and kept the switch after reconditioning it.
I gave it a new front lens made of 1mm acrylic since the old one was very sad.
Tossed the incandescent bulb and replaced it with........
Since this gave a less than uniform beam I added a little extra help for the P7 and the front end then looked like this:
The combination of the Ledil plus the original reflector worked just fine. To add something extra I added some GID around the outside of the Ledil. This gets charged when the light is used and its output is reflected in the original torch reflector.
The output is best described as a wall of light:
And for white wall hunters:
It's powered by 2 AW C cell size lithiums.
I wonder what its original designer would think of it now?
