My E1L's battery clocked in at 2.997 on the voltmeter. Time for a change or does it still have some life left in it?

When do you guys usually change you're SF batteries?

Edit: I forgot the word battery in the title :]

Re: When should a change my E1L b

I'd change it when the light dims to an undesirable level.

Its impossible to tell when to change cells by using a voltmeter because you have no idea where does the light's driver's lower threshold is at before drop-out.

you can edit the title by clicking the edit icon in your post, then hit the "Go Advanced" icon in the Edit box.

I never new I could edit titles, thanks.

Ok, so I don't really notice any dimming in this light (though I've been using the same battery for about 2 months).

By the way I'm not new to CPF, I just never post.

I change my E1L battery when it no longer works in high mode. Except for when I know I'm going to be using the light for an extended period of time and I'm unsure how much life is left in the battery. In that case, I'll just put a new 123 in and set the old one aside for later use.
