I just got this light off buy.com for 7 bucks and it really isnt bad, but it could've been so much better with just a little more effort. The build quality is very nice and solid and the light has a very nice aspheric lens which creates a very nice small bright even hotspot about 3 feet in diameter. However, something about how it is made causes it to have a dim square around the main hot spot in the shape of the head which is very annoying. If they could've fixed this it wouldve been a great low output light. I dunno, maybe mine is defective, but it doesn't seem like it. Just an imperfect design. I will take some pictures later.

yeah I have the 2AAA and it also has a wierd shaped flood beam that follows the contours of the bezel. Its an OK light, nothing to get excited over.
