Sorry, everyone's sleeping and I needed to share this. It's pronounced just like you think, which sounds like a new line of trendy pants instead of an acid reflux medication. The people in the commercial have to say it so serious too but you just know they are thinking the same thing lol.

I've seen that ad for aciphex several times, and I chuckle each time. The first time the ad was on, I heard it before I saw it (I wasn't really paying attention to the TV) It's funny how certain words grab your attention. I thought, "A$$ effects?!?! what the heck?"

I still have no idea what the medication is for because the 11 year old in me just can't stop snickering long enough to find out. It reminds me of being in junior high school learning about the birds and the bees, only I have no fear of getting yelled at by a teacher for giggling.
