Is anyone else stocking up for the troubles coming or is it just me?

I think many of us know or suspect that something seriously bad is coming. The dollar is being devalued, and as soon as foreign countries stop using it as a reserve currency, dollars will flood the market sending us into hyperinflation. Unemployment is higher than expected despite the government trying to help. The U.S. is quickly turning into a socialist system and government is attempting to control pay, healthcare, energy, food, land, and the water supply (basically everything you need to survive). Some politicians (I'm not going to name them, look it up)are using Chairman Mao as their role model (he killed 70 million of his people through starvation). IMHO, Government control of necessities+ mindset of dictator who killed millions through starvation+ power to affect change- opposition= massacre (or the politically correct way to put it: population control through rationing necessities to save the environment). I hope my math is wrong on this. I think we are in a similar position to Germany after WWI and just before WWII. I know that something bad is going to happen. I just don't know to what extent it will happen. Maybe some damage can be undone before the SHTF. At the very least, our dollar has lost about 25% of it's value in the last year or two and is more rapidly losing value when compared to gold. It may be wise to stock up on food and supplies as a buffer against rising prices as these prices will soon catch up with inflation. Worst case senario, we may be heading for WWIII or the real apocalypse. Is anyone else here stocking up on food and supplies at least as a buffer against what is coming? What should we stock up on? How much do you think we need? Any tips for riding out the coming trouble? For any of you who think I'm nuts for what I think, can you point out where I'm wrong? I'd sleep better at night if I knew for sure that nothing bad was going to happen. I want to keep politics out of this discussion and entirely on stocking up on an impending disaster.
