I wonder how they will keep this cool and how hot it will really get. This will be an interesting one to see. If the specs are even close to reality, lights like this will dwarf the current big guns (excluding dedicated EDCs of course).

The FR2000 will use a Single Luminus SST-90W with a 2000 Lumen output. This primary duty light will use a single rechargeable 'M' LiFePO4 38120P (M size) battery at 3.2 volts and 10 amps capacity. Total Length is 10.75 inches, head diameter 2.5 inches with a 1.75 inch diameter battery compartment. More specifications to follow.

Great idea for a battery, the LiFePO4 has at least 5 to 7 years of life, won't explode and can supply serious amps.

I would guess a copper slug with heat pipes (like used in laptops and CPU heat sinks) the heat pipes can run down the long body of the light to aid in cooling. Add a bunch of fins to the head and maybe a thermal sensor to keep the LED alive.
