The NOHS has no hotspot, which means it has an even beam completely without throw. This light has been created for evidence searching :

You probably want the "normal" version, which has a somewhat tight hotspot, throws not bad and has some spill as well (I've got the OP). You'b better check if you really want the R2 (which means cool white) or if the Q4-5A (neutral white, warm tint) wouldn't be more interesting. Furthermore, the OP brings a smoother beam while the SMO has better throw, but surely some rings.
i ordered now the NOHS, which will be used with the Q4-5A and teh aspherical head which will get the R2 from the NOHS...
