Nitecore EZ AA and 3.7 rechargeables

The instructions on the EZ AA are clear that you shouldn't put anything stronger than 2 volts into the light, I'm just wondering if anyone has and what were the results.

As long as you do not run it for a long period of time, you can. Just do not go running it for longer than 1 mins... if that.
