OK - question. I just received a SWEET new Jet 3 Pro ST through a trade and I did not have 18650 cell yet and I thought I would try 2 CR123s in it. They fit, but I am curious since there is a new version (the BVC) that is intended for both types of cells, does this mean that I could damage my Jet 3 Pro ST?

Thanks for the info and the help...

Please dont fry you new flashlight.

The new broad voltage one is ok with 2 cr123 but the older one will just cook and you will have an expensive paperweight.

Key point is the non-bvc IBS has a limit of 4.2v Do not exceed 4.2v
*minor nit: if a dummy cell (or spacer) is used, there are options. I have run my III-Pro ST on a single 16340 with a dummy (I was on a trip and took only 16340 cells).
