I like to horseback ride and I worry about traffic, so I bought a Grip-On-Tools LED Safety Vest from Northern Tools a few weeks ago. I have used this on several rides after dark. This has proven to be very effective. I also wan to be seen in the daytime and I recently bought some high visibility clothing. I got a couple of pairs of blaze orange sweat pants and I have a high visibility hooded sweatshirt with 2" reflective tape. I was wearing the sweatshirt while hiking at a state park recently and a motorist actually stopped and told me that he noticed me right away. I started doing some research on that recently because I Wanted to know why blaze orange is selected for hunting, but lime green for other activities. I looks like blaze orange is more visible near vegetation, while lime green shows up better in other areas.
