Do the quark tacticals have a parasitic drain?

I think the batteries are lasting longer in my quark tactical than my regular... probably due to the fact I don't need to switch through modes...

I think that because the Quark does not remember last-on modes ("What level was it last on at?") with volatile memory, it does not have to keep its 'RAM' hot. Because my Tactical remembers set modes when I pull the batteries (for any reasonable number of hours), I have reason to believe that even that setting is stored in nonvolatile 'memory' of some kind.
