I was going to use my L1 in some pictures I took tonight. When I went to turn it on it fired for about one second then went dead. I have tried everything but it is dead.

Did you try swapping tail switches with the A2? It may also be that either the anode or cathode contacts aren't being made in the pak to head connections.

Bummer! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

JT,

If the head won't work on the E1e then you either have a break in the circuit somewhere or a dead Luxeon??!?!? There isn't anything else going on in the front end. It's just the LED and leads for + and -. Can you open a staple up and drop it down on the cathode ring for bridging between the battery tube and the cathode ring? I am amazed that you might have a dead LED. Obviously SF will take care of the problem.

PS. I won't ask if you tried a new battery..........
