Maglite Solitaire upgrade?

IMHO it would be better to just get a; http://www.itplight.com/product_list.asp?bid=21&sid=20 for about $20.
Looks cool, but I have about a dozen solitaires that I've collected and not used because the output sucks.
I have plenty of AAA LEDs (Arcs, Peaks, Fenix etc), I don't need more brands, but kind of want to improve the incandescent ones I have.
You should be able to find "Bi-Pin LED MODULE FOR MAGLITE SOLITAIRE" from ebay. There have also been similar upgrades from other brands, but I haven't seen many of them for sale anymore.. and I don't think any of those solitaire upgrades offer terribly good performance compared to modern led lights..

Yep, Ebay is a very secure place.. I have had over 150 transactions both selling and buying, and never a bad one. :thumbsup:

The only one I know of is the Tektite LT-3 at LED-Replacement.com The Sandwich Shoppe used to carry a SMJ LED sandwich for the Solitaire, but I don't see it available now.
I simply got some 20,000 mcd leds (5mm) and stuck one in the Soli (had to enlarge the reflector hole first, though). That and a 10440 battery and I'm a happy camper - it's about 3x as bright as standard, but long running and useful illumination.

Being a bit generous aren't you. I'd have said it goes from unbelievably dim to absolutely useless in 5 mins.
