Does the Fenix P3D work with one 18650?

It is normally designed to use two CR123, i.e. a 6V power supply.
How does it behave with one 18650?

It doesn't. It cannot fit an 18650; too wide. It will fit a couple of R123s though, and runs well on those. Don't remember how the performance is on a single 17670.

If you can find a battery tube that fits, it will work for a bit, but then go into low battery warning because it was not meant to work with a single Li-ion battery and thus think the lower voltage means the battery is dyeing.

The 17670 is the similar in length as two CR123s, and just a bit wider, so it fits in most 2 CR123 lights. But since it is still a single Li-ion cell but of less capacity then a 18650, the same things will happen when you use the battery (low battery warning will be triggered much sooner then with 2 CR123s).

If you want rechargeable, you can use 2 RCR123s.
