I designed helped design these heads for a small sale here in Japan. I have 2pcs left over. One is HAIII OD and other is HAIII black. These are SF compatible heads made for the E1e or E2e. Has three levels of brightness with memory and reverse polarity protection. Would like to ask $262.00 shipped for one or take both for $500.00. Will need a few days to ship. Here are the specs:

LED: SST-50-WJ Star
Brightness levels: 3, 5%, 30%, 100%
Drive current at 100% = 1.5 amps using an RCR123 rated at 3.7 volts.
Can use CR123 or RCR123 (min. 2.4 volts, max 4.2 volts)
Reverse polarity protected
Anodizing: HA III black/OD
Chem-kote inner module
Mineral glass lens

I'm confused by the 24V minimum, 4.2V max. Will this run on a 3.7V 17670. And what would be the approximate lumen output at 100 percent? And how floody?

Josey: Sorry about the typo. Its 2.4 volts minimum input. The head will run on a 3.7 volt 17670. The beam pattern is 15 degrees, sort of a spot with side spill. I don't know what the lumenous output at 100% is, as I've never put this in a light sphere. You can get an estimated guess by looking at the PDF of the SST-50 froma brightness bin of WJ. The LED is seiing approximately 1.6 amps top be exact at 100%. From my eyes, its super bright for its size at 100%.

Nice heads!

Hand assembled MJ driver?

Reflector, optic?

Do you have any photos of a completed unit?

Thanks,
TB

Mike, would you consider this build to have 100% duty cycle, when the driver is in the high/max mode?

I'm very intersted in an SST-50 build that I can couple to an aluminum 18650 body, and run non-stop until the cell is depleted.

Thanks,
TB
