Installation:

Do not touch the bulb with your bare hand / fingers when assembling the module, oil will damage it when turning on.
Insert the plastic socket vertically in Mag D body, let the plastic hook face outside of the battery tube, it is tight fit.
The form is use to fill the extra space in Mag C head, no need for Mag D light.
Put the grease to the extra thick O-ring, it prevent the head rattle.
Recommended to wait 15sec before turning on next time.

How long til full power from startup?
What's the restrike on your custom ballast?
Is there a recommended minimum runtime for the bulb/ballast - 30 secs?

1. Here you can see the start up timing.
2. To prevent to shorten the life of bulb, restart the power min. next 15-30 seconds
3. For minimizing the size, bulb & ballast were installed in one piece. Can't change it. Bulb's life is >1000hrs.

It works on 4x18650, but not recommanded. No plan for D size IMR's yet.
4x LiFePO4 battery will be better. 3.2V x 4 = 12.8V

Bulb is 8.8mm, with wire it need reflector opening is 12mm.

So I guess it needs special reflector then. Do you know where to find these?

I think standard 15mm opening reflector is fine.
