Mag drop-ins.

I scored myself a couple of 4D led Mags at my local supermarket for AU$29 each with duracell batteries included (a bargain here in Oz, normally $80-$100. A price of living in the greatest country on earth). I'm giving two to two of my kids for x-mas as they like dad's BIG torch. I got a tle-6ex for mine and have one other that is not going to do anything, yet. Thought about a tle-300 just for the 'impress your friends who buy torches from K-mart' but was wondering if there are currently, or coming up drop-ins that are better than the 300? Malkoff are currently out of stock, so does that mean they are working on something new?
