I have been checking up on this list light & it sounds like good thrower. Question to anybody who has this light?

1. can the EP-P72 light Engine be used with only 1 18650 battery & a short EP-P71 body.

2. how does this light compares to any the throwers it competes with:

  • Dereelight DBS MC-E

  • Tiablo Ace

  • Fenix TK 30

  • JetBeam M1X Review (Cree MC-E)

  • ThruNite Catapult

I appreciate any help & info you guys can provide me to make a good decision.

Thanks

I have included them in this beamshot, but it does not include the new lights. The M1X is the first version, the current version has higher output. The TK30 and TK40 looks to be about equal in reflector and lumen output, i.e. the TK40 shots are a good reference for how TK30 will look.

1. I've never tried and I'm not going to. When I want max output using the P71 body, I use the brass P72 module and two RCR123s.

2. From what I learned during my researched before buying, the Epsilon has virtually no dim spot in the hotspot (which is true) unlike some of the other P7/MCE lights. This was one of the most important factors to me. Cost was also a concern.
