The \"Cigar Butt\" Arc LS

I'm looking for a couple of LS 123 twist packs over on the BST, here's why. Thought it would be fun to make an Arc LS as short as possible for easy carry. Lots of meat can be cut away as shown, I reduced the diameter to better match the body, re-knurled, and shortened so the pack is only .040" thick at the base. I could have reduced the diameter quite a bit more, but figured it would make it more difficult to twist on and off......really pocketable!

Re: The

I just threw it on a scale for you, the weight was reduced by 7.66 grams. Not a big deal, but it does feel significantly smaller in the pocket!

Re: The

I'm buying some extras that are finished but wouldn't mind getting a couple more of your "slimmed down" versions as well if you decide to do a bunch more. Any chance on getting them anozized ? ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm not into production....don't have the time or the proper tooling to do a first rate job like McGizmo or DSpeck or any of the other fine machinists here could do......just thought you'd like to see how compact the Arc LS could be made.

Re: Cigar butt LS

I wonder if this means I'll end buying a Firefly.

I am going to get a ARK-LS4 for sure.

I know, buy both:)

On the other hand I really like the clickie switch.
