I received this dropin yesterday and total light output is greater than my DBS in ceiling bounce test. My host light seems to be acting up so I was thinking of putting this dropin in my Dereelight Javelin with 2aa lithium batteries. Anyone tried this and what kind of runtime would I get before it drops to 2.7 volts? I just measured fresh lithium aa's at over 1.8 volts with no load.

Not trying to hold a conversation with myself but I tried it and 2 aa alkaline would not even light it up. The 2 aa lithiums did light it up but it was not very bright and I will not waste my time.

I think you would have good (at least a lot better) results with the Javelin extension tube running 3 AA's. I had thought of trying this very combination so let us know if you do try it.
