Hello everyone,
We are very excited to offer these new parts to you.

These are Delrin tail stand extensions for Surefire Z41 tailcaps.

They are a nice tight, secure, press fit. The extension bites onto the knurling, and will stay put until you choose to remove it.

These are designed to clear the boot on our McClicky kits for the Z41.

Easy button access, no wobble, flared tail.
These create a very nice positive grip, even with wet, oily, muddy, or gloved hands.

They fit G2/G3 tails as well. The boot is just slightly recessed in these models, due to the thickness of the tailcap material.

I have 2 different finishes available, Standard, and Bead Blasted. The 6P LED pictured has a Standard finish part installed.
-The Standard finish looks very similar to the Surefire black anodize. It has a slight shine to it.
-The Blasted finish looks very similar to the rubber grip ring on a C2.

Price is $17 each
Please add $4 shipping per order CONUS.
International first class $8 per order

SEND PAYPAL TO:
tom (at) titaniumengineering (dot) com

If you want to order these with any other parts, they will also be available from ElectronGuru next week along with the rest of our hosts and accessories.

Pics are so much better than PM's! Now I fully understand what EG meant.

I really like them, especially the blasted ones. I wonder if olive or yellow Delrin could be found? :eek:oo: People could color match.

If you look closely, this tailcap is a Z59 (actually it is on a C2, so I think it is a Z49, but they are the same anyway).

Hi Tom,

Can this be use on Z59 tailcap?

Regards,
FF

Yes, they do fit Z58/Z59 tailcaps. As stated, there is a photo of one in my post.
The button will be recessed a bit.
The fit is not quite as tight, because the part does not reach the knurling.
Also, there are variations in the size of the tails from the factory.

These are designed for the Z41, but with other tails in mind.

If you are not satisfied with the fit, simply return it for a refund.

I dont have calipers but the MD2 looks to be the same exact size as the surefire tailcap. I think there is potential that it might fit that as well. If anyone could measure that would be awesome!!

I recommend that you keep your eyes on Gene's site in the coming weeks if you are interested in this type of part for the Malkoff lights.

The Surefire parts will be fairly loose on his lights.

So my stupid question of the day is.

What is the purpose of a tailstand?
Does it put it into candle mode like the old school mini-mag's?

I guess I just dont get it. I dont understand what quality that would bring to a light and why some people wont buy a light that wont tailstand.

However these are cool as heck and I really like that they add a positive grip to these lights. Will Electron guru have these available in the other threads. I would add 1 to my clicky and bore order to save on shipping if I could.
Thanks
Zach

There are several uses for a tailstand. It makes it very easy to light up a room, just place it on a table or shelf to ceiling bounce. It's another option for just putting it down. It also enhances grip (think dumb bell). As with the Z49, it also helps keep your light off except when you want it on.

These will be available in our custom upgrages thread as well as our main hosts thread, starting next week. You'll be able to add them to orders for anything else we ship.

We're also planning models with them pre installed.

It's more of a "ceiling bounce" mode than a "candle" mode, but that's the general idea.

As you said, this design also provides the flare for grip, and it ought to reduce inadvertent activation by somewhat shielding the switch.

I'd prefer a style more like Nekomane's extension for Z58/Z59, but those are unobtainium now, and this is the best alternative I've seen recently.
