LOTC G2 question

if i buy a G2Z LOTC can i just pop out the middle from and drop it into a G2 cap? reason i ask is i have a G2 in od green and i would like a LOTC but sf only has black available right now.

so, will this work?

I just took a look, didn't work. Can't just swap them either, they are different lengths.
