What to do with an extra U2?

I have an older U2, and just recently got a U2A in a trade. I have zero mod skills of my own, but would love a bright, warm tinted LED inside one of these. What are my options? Should I just mothball it for the future?

I've also seen the U2x2, but judging from resale prices, can't afford anything like it right now.

If the older U2 has the 18650 battery holder then I recommend using it with a single LiIon. Nothing really dated about the U2. If you do not want to do anything with it, then sell it at Market Place and someone who really appreciates the U2 will pick it up. A light like that should be used.

Yeah the older one is an 18650 holder. I put the new head on that tube. For now I think I'm just going to keep the other U2 as a car light. But I'm dying to mod it somehow!

A number of people have swapped Cree MC-E's into the old LuxV U2's.
