Most lights are positive towards the head. Exceptions are some parallel stack AA or AAA lights. Be careful with a malkoff because I think if you go reverse it will fry.

Malkoff M30 does not have reverse polarity protection, so you can fry 'em if you put the battery in backwards. If you put 2 CR123 cells in, you'll fry it as well. If you treat it right, it will reward you with a lot of light from a small package.
