Had a thought about running two types of LED's in a DD Mag host.
I have an MC-E DD built however when the cells are depleted the light becomes a baton instead and the light coming out would surely cause damage to the rechargeables if left to discharge them too far.
I had a thought about adding some 5mm LED's but wired with the positive reversed from the primary LED so that in order to use them, I would simply reverse the cells in the host and then make use of a low light level instead in candle mode. I mention candle mode as the LED's would have to be
My concerns were raised about reverse polarity on an MC-E and 5mm LED's. As far as I have been reading, the only issue with reverse polarity is when using driver boards to run an LED, but in DD mode, this should not be an issue, right?
