I am looking to swap a neutral-white XR-E into my Eagletac P10A2. Is it possible to get at the emitter without a lot of headaches? I took the head off and got the reflector out, but I can't see how to proceed further. Does anyone have any experience with these lights?

A picture of the light with the bezel and reflector removed would probably help.

I'm assuming there is some sort of plastic ring around the LED, to insulate from the reflector, correct? Same idea as Jetbeam uses. You have to remove the ring. From what I have read, poking a small hole in it, away from the LED with a small metal hook, and using said hook to pul on the ring works. But you may want to post a picture so we can see what's there.

My main problem at this point is just getting the LED assembly out of the bezel so I can work on it. I'll post some pics when I get home tonight.
