Last year I bought these Husky brand lights from Home Depot for around $5 for two. I wanted to try to put a Nichia GS in one. Pushing down on the lens pushed the pill out and the ends come off easy for changing the LED.

After the upgrade, the GS made quite a difference. It is much brighter now!

Sweet - that's essentially a $5 Inova X1 copy with a clicky. I've thought about doing that myself, I've just haven't got around to it. Any idea how hard it's being driven?

I've still got a few hanging around from last year that I haven't used yet. I like those cheap suckers. Don't worry about losing them.

I took one apart and got 50ma to the LED in it a nichia may see more than that as it probably has a lower Vf but as cheap as these are that could vary all over the place. The LED in it is the type that needs a reflector because without it there is only flood.
