Long story short: I need to buy an adapter audio cable, so my elderly mother can hear her TV set.

I need a 3.5mm male stereo plug to two male (1 red, 1 white) RCA plugs

I found it here for $3:

http://www.customcableconnection.com/Stor/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=96

But the shipping is over $8. Several other sites had $10 to $12 shipping, for this 2 or 3 ounce cable.

I'm not in a big hurry; with the Christmas deliveries, I plan to order it right before, or after Christmas day, for shipping next week some time.

Does anybody know where I can buy one, without having to pay almost triple the cost of the cable in shipping?

Oh yeah: Radio Shack wants....are you ready? Sixteen ninety-nine for one.

TIA!

Go with elgarak's recommendation.

I've bought from MonoPrice myself. It's a great site and pretty cheap too (if not the cheapest).

I always thought 3.5mm was the same as 1/8". And, if so -- then go right back to Radio Shack and get one of these:

$7.79

$7.99

Oh yeah: Radio Shack wants....are you ready? Sixteen ninety-nine for one.

Well -- of COURSE they want to sell you the so-called "Monster Cable"...

Monoprice.com

~$2 cable, ~$2.70 shipping with USPS first class.

Thank You. THANK YOU!!!!

monoprice.com has REALLY good prices! And VERY reasonable shipping!!!!

Google was NOT helping me today!

The Internet is SO BIG: I looked at over a dozen websites; they all used UPS, or Fedex, from the shipping costs!

Stopped in to make sure that Monoprice had been mentioned. Which it had.

Another local (no shipping) option, though it may not be *much* cheaper than RS, is a store that carries pro-audio and musical equipment. I've bought such cables at Guitar Center and the like.

Although I'm very comfortable making my own cables, it's often just so much easier to buy one!
