My Malkoff P7 P60 direct drive drop-in was tested by MrGman.

With a IMR 18650 cell = 388 OTF instant peak
With a AW C cell in Fivemega hosts = 420ish OTF instant peak

The new MC-E P60 drop-in at almost 1A less current does about 100 more OTF lumens, but the P7 P60 is more rare.

The nice thing is that the production MC-E is for two-cell (& 3-cell) configurations only, while this P7 is for single-cell configurations only - which makes it perfect for a 6P/1x18650 (and still impressive & very usable in a 3P/1xIMR16340). Good product differentiation IMO, I think that there was a role for both products. :sigh:
