How do you take apart a Surefire E series bezel without causing any marks ?

I have one that came apart easily by hand, but all my other ones will need some kind of wrench.

The common method is to double package it in some plastic sandwich bags and boil it for a while on the stove, then use some strap wrenches so you don't mar the finish. I have gotten 2 of mine apart with just the strap wrenches, however.

one surefire way (haha no pun intended) is to use a torch. butane torch. (not flashlight torch)

heat up the bezel lightly for about 10-15 seconds. move the flame around the area. Concentrate where the threading would be under the bezel.

then get some leather work gloves and unscrew.

:poke:*might work best to get the leather gloves first so they're on hand before you heat up the torch

Hit and miss deal. Some work with the above methods and some seem like they need a flamethrower and still will not budge. I asked Milky about this once and he kind of agreed. Your results may vary, good luck with it.
