ArcMania's superflashlight is still my all time favourite in flashlight design.
I once owned this special mod from Mac using three Cree emitters and reflectors and this beast was bright, very bright :)
But I never was a fan of multiple reflector lights because of their beam - so I decided to go another way...
I got a 4die Ostar, a siutable driver, a piece of copper and a lot of heat cunductable compound.
Then I disappeared in my workshop for many hours.
What came out you can see at the pictures below, it is a drop in module for the ols SuperFlashligt III from ArcMania, using the original (a little bit downturned) reflector.
This combination is extremely bright, has a wonderful beam - and looks nice :)

This module and its reflector are now for sale.
All you need to do is to pull out your old module and reflector, put in my set and turn you light on - then enjoy :)

The driver is made to run with a single pila cell.
I expect running it with two CR123 willl destroy it, so I strongly suggest not to try it (I never did)

The price $75.- for this unique set of which I ever only made this single one for my personal use.
The price includes worldwide shipping registerd mail.

Thanks for looking Jochen

Re: FS: SuperFlashlight III (old) Ostar drop in module (reduced price)

The price was a little bit stiff, so I reduced it ;)

Re: FS: SuperFlashlight III (old) Ostar upgrade module (new price)

I cannot believe that noone is interested to pull out the old LUX V of his Superplashlight III to bring real modern brightness into this wonderful light.

So I made another price drop...

Nice module :)

Do you know the flux and tint of the Ostar?

What driver did you use?

Thanks,
TB

Hi TB,

the driver is a Shark and I do not remember anything about the LED, sorry.

Final price drop to $75 shipped worldwide!
You will not get your old SF III brighter for less money!
And the nice beam and look of the MCE38 will remain!

Hey Jochen!

I cant belive its still here. You only need to screw it in your old SFIII and
get a big bright upgrade, no dremel only srew it in, like a drop-in.

This is an incredible cheap offer!!!:poke:

This is in fact a great price.

ArsMachina can correct me if I`m wrong, though, but this module is NOT a "screw-in" unit like the Aleph light engines are. You rather need some type of press...like a firearms ammunition loading press...to carefully remove the old module from the head and then insert this new module.

It can be done, for I`ve done it myself when upgrading several of my SFIII`s with repacement modules that I bought from Mike Jordan several years ago.

ArsMachina...good luck with your sale!
