I'm packing up and heading out in the morning for a long 4th of July weekend.
As I pack my flashlights, bulbs and extra batteries I was wondering what other CPF members will be planning to use this 4th of July.

I will have a 6D mag, 2D mag and a Surefire E1-GM in the Van.
I will have a E1e-HA in my pocket and the G2-BK packed with me to carry at night. Along with a number of bulbs and CR123's.

What will be your 4th of July lights? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Going camping in the Smoky Mountains, HMM lets see, I think I will take

1 Arc LSH-P
1 Arc AAA LE
1 Arc AAA Turq
2 Inova X5 Tacticals
1 Mag Rechargeable
And for back up
1 Mag 2D

That should cover everything.

This thread kind of brought a thought to mind. Has anyone done a rolling cooler mod yet? I better get this one into the patent office quick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

A 2D Mag as backup for an ArcLSH? Do they really need a backup? I have been beating mine to death. Never considered backing it up with anything really.

LOCO is more like it.
Even if the thing can't be broken, it can run out of battery, and it can be lost. That's the main reason I carry backups... not for failure.

Mostly I'm planning on "carrying" a beer on the 4th. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Drjones...

Yes I ALWAYS have a knife on me. Usually my Benchmade Styker. On camping trips I take my Benchmade Nimravus fixed blade. And a Gerber, or Leatherman tool.

I don't generally go out amongst the idiots on long weekends...

So I will have my entire arsenal available.

If I do leave home for any reason, my Madmax Mini and my ARC AAA will be with me as always.

And if in my truck, an SL StingerHP, M*g 2D with 3C and KPR103, and whatever else I have that day on a whim (today was Pelican M7 rechargeable).

Oh and Knife... Victorinox Tinker and Classic are with me always as well.

Just my 'ol trusty dusty L4 and my 123A beltclip spares carrier. The Arc AAA is always on my keychain so it will not be "extra" per se. For that matter, neither will the L4 as it is always holstered on my belt as well, so the only thing extra on my person will be the spares carrier with belt clip.
