Best James Bond actor?

I was going to make this a poll but was afraid I might miss an actor. Who do you think was the best James Bond actor? The worst? To me, the best was Sean Connery, hands down. I was too young to see the originals but have seen them since. He is the most macho one by far. The worst may have been Timothy Dalton. I was watching Licence to Kill the other night and although not a bad movie, he is very wimpy for James Bond. I thought Roger Moore was too smugish. Pierce Brosnan hasn't been that bad.

well, i admittedly haven't seen all/many of the james bonds, but i would have to say brosnan is the best.
it's one of those things that comes down to who you saw "first"

Brosnan is not bad. He's got the Bond arrogance without the smugness and aloofness of Roger Moore. I didn't see Sean Connery first but he wore on me after I did see his Bond movies.

Roger Moore was the Bond of my youth but after reading the books and seeing Sean Connery -- Connery is the man.
Interestingly enough I saw an artist's interpretation of Bond based purely on Fleming's descriptions and Moore is pretty darn close physically.

Brosnan -- Second
Moore -- Third (behind Brosnan because his visibly apparent total lack of athleticism makes suspension of disbelief difficult when doubles are doing action scenes)
Dalton -- (Too monotonously stolid)
