I'm waiting for delivery of a Jetbeam RRT-1 and Jet-III Military. I've read about problems using the new AW flat top 18650s in the Jet-III. I currently have two AW 2200 mAh, button top 18650s, but will need to order some more 18650s for these new lights. I'll probably just order more 2200 mAh cells from lighthound, but I'd like to know if the new ones are compatible or not.

Does the Jetbeam RRT-1 also have problems with flat top cells? What other lights have problems with these?

Thanks.

With the flat top batts all you have to do is solder on a small washer to the positive end of the battery.....:naughty:

what lights are not compatible?

Lights with polarity reversal protection .

Check the description of the light specifications for physical polarity reversal protection.

Look for an outer built-up ring in the head of the light, around the positive terminal .
