Received the subject light the other day and I am pretty surprised. Seems Surefire has decided to use a plastic reflector. I suppose it's OK from a heat standpoint or they wouldn't have used it, but it does seem pretty cheap-charlie for a hundred dollar light. Anyone care to comment?

I remember 2 threads where it was mentioned and nobody was really happy about it.

At least that particular Surefire head is easy to get into to mod.

Maybe they used as much plastic in it, as they could, to reduce the amount of heat that the light could build up via the radiation of fire??
