Hi Guys,
I note that Cree have released the XP-G R5. Excuse my ignorance, but can someone tell me if there is a corresponding increased efficiency lower temp LED since the Q4.

Thank you

Posting the same thread twice is not permitted. Please read Rule 9. I've merged them.

Furthermore, both posts were made in the wrong forum, so I'm moving the combined thread now.

Please familiarise yourself with the Rules and where topics belong.

DM51: Its my fault that he double posted in the LED Flashlight section, because initially that's what I wrote. I soon realised my mistake and went back to edit the thread to the LED section.

Apologies to deerndingo.

OK - no problem, and no harm done. :)

If a thread is spotted in the wrong section, the best thing to do is report it, or PM a moderator and ask for it to be moved.

Not from Cree.
You could try your hand at the rebel 100's, they have a whole selection binned by the 1000k colour temp.
Luminus has some warmer bins for the ssx-50's
